SeABank hosts ‘Waste for Gifts’ eco-exchange day to promote green lifestyle in Hanoi
To promote a green lifestyle and raise public awareness about waste sorting, Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank, HOSE: SSB) has partnered with Hanoi Urban Environment Company Limited (URENCO) to launch the recurring “Waste for Gifts” eco-exchange program at its main office located at 25 Tran Hung Dao Street, Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi. This is a part of “Let’s Go Green with SeABank” – an annual environmental campaign featuring a range of practical activities such as tree planting, environmental clean-up, beach clean-up, eco-friendly gifts giveaway, waste recycling, and more.

On June 25th 2014, the Signing Ceremony of VND 500 billion deal financing for “Cat Bi international airport expansion” project took place in Hai Phong between Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank and Hai Phong City People’s Committee.
As assigned by the Prime Minister, Vietnam Airlines Corporation and Hai Phong City People’s Committee are the investors of “Cat Bi international airport expansion” project which is rated a key transportation project. Under the project, a new runway measuring more than 3,000m long and 45m wide, in a 162.36-hectare area including a system of braking, as well as systems that guarantee the safe landing for Boeing B777, B747, B767, A321 and equivalent aircrafts will be built. The project also involves the upgrade of the existing runway to become a parallel taxiway having its length of 457m, construction of a new taxiway connecting the runway and the parallel taxiway; construction of an air traffic light system meeting 07 CAT II requirements and surrounding wall; construction of 3 lighting towers with 4 low-beam lamps and 4 high-beam lamps each. In addition, the project will also include a series of auxiliary facilities such as construction of a new aircraft stands providing location for 08 A321 jetliners during rushour and connecting with the existing aircraft stands ensuring the exploitation of all E type aircrafts being used by global airlines corporations.

It is said that Hai Phong is the first city in the country which has been assigned by the Government in making decision on investment as well as being the investor. Cat Bi international airport is defined an important international airport in Vietnam’s international airport system. With the function of serving socioeconomic development of Red River Delta, Northen Costal Region, Hai Phong port City and national defense, main duties of Cat Bi international airport are local and international passengers and cargo transport, as well as a reserve airport for Noi Bai international airport and military tasks.
