SeABank donates 35.2 tons of rice to the poor nationwide during the Covid-19 pandemic

To expand the meaningful activities and support poor people, from April 13-15, 2020, SeABank will continue to deploy donating about 30.2 tons of rice, 45,300 packs of instant noodles for the difficulties in 25 provinces and cities where SeABank has located its branches.

With the spirit of solidarity, humanitarian to support the poor and disadvantaged people continue living in the period of "social distancing" under the instruction of the Government, SeABank continues to implement deploying and donating essential necessities to needy people in 25 provinces and cities where SeABank's branch offices are located.

This program starts from 2 PM on April 13-15, 2020 with a total expected food distribution of 30.2 tons of rice and 45,300 packs of instant noodles. In addition to the budget of SeABank for the donation, the program also received support from several sponsors such as BRG Group, Central Retail Group in Vietnam, Ly Khuong Company, Tien Phuoc Company, Post and Telecommunication Finance Company (PTF), Hung Hung Thinh Group and SeABank's customers and partners nationwide. All charity food is provided by BRG Mart, Hapro supermarket system of BRG Group and other supermarkets, ensuring hygiene, origin, quality and safety of food. 

In particular, in order to comply with the regulations on the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic, SeABank's staff also required people who come to receive necessities strictly wear masks and queue up 2-meter apart from each other to ensure the minimum distance. 

Previously, from April 8-10, 2020, SeABank also held the donation of basic necessities at 9 branches of the Bank in Hanoi with over 2,500 food rations including 5 tons of rice, 2,500 bottles of oil and 12,500 packages of instant noodles which have been handed to the beneficiaries, freelance workers, the poor, the unemployed… desperately need help from the community to sustain lives. 

In addition, in response to the Government's call, SeABank and BRG Group supported VND 5 billion for the prevention and control of Covid-19 pandemic and also supported VND 400 million to combat with Covid-19 and severe drought in the Mekong Delta. 

Responsibility to the community is always a core value that SeABank wants to focus on as a commitment to sustainability development. This is also a target that enterprises and organizations towards in the context of social responsibility is placed on top, especially in the period when people nationwide were seriously affected by Covid-19 pandemic.
