Continuing its series of environmental and sustainable development initiatives, Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank, HOSE: SSB) launched the third season of its Ocean Cleanup campaign in 2026, participated by more than 1,000 employees and their family members across multiple coastal provinces and cities nationwide.
Ocean Cleanup is SeABank's long-standing annual community initiative, bringing together SeABank employees and local communities to raise awareness of marine conservation, reduce plastic waste, and promote green lifestyles. The campaign is organized in conjunction with World Environment Day (June 5), World Oceans Day (June 8), Vietnam Sea and Islands Week (June 1–8), and the National Month of Action for the Environment.

The 2026 campaign continued to receive active participation of employees from SeABank business units in 7 coastal provinces and cities, including Hung Yen, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang.
On June 6, more than 1,000 SeABank employees and their family members simultaneously joined clean-up activities, collecting and sorting waste at beaches and public coastal areas. Through these activities, SeABank aims to help preserve coastal landscapes, reduce the impact of plastic waste on marine ecosystems, and raise environmental awareness among local communities and tourists.

In several localities, beach clean-up activities will continue through July and August to support environmental protection efforts during the peak tourism season and further promote environmental responsibility within local communities.
In addition to beach clean-up activities, SeABank worked with local authorities to implement practical initiatives to reduce plastic waste and promote sustainable consumption. These included donating public waste bins at tourist beaches, providing biodegradable bags for ports and ferry terminals, and distributing reusable shopping bags to tourists, local businesses, and residents.

A SeABank representative shared on the campaign: “Environmental protection is one of the key priorities in SeABank's sustainable development strategy. Ocean Cleanup 2026 aims not only to contribute to cleaner marine environments, but also to inspire greener lifestyles and strengthen environmental awareness among our employees, customers, and communities. SeABank believes that small actions, when sustained over time, can create meaningful and lasting positive impacts on the environment and the quality of life for future generations.”
Over the years, SeABank has consistently integrated business growth with social responsibility and sustainable development goals. Through the SeAGreen Fund, the Bank has implemented numerous environmental initiatives, including planting and donating more than 1 million trees nationwide, organizing monthly waste-for-gifts exchange days, and launching the SeAHero campaign to encourage greener transportation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
