Joining hands with the community to repel the pandemic Covid-19, from April 8 to 15, 2020, Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank) with the support of BRG Group and partners donated 16,052 necessities, including 42.7 tons of rice, more than 115,000 packs of instant noodles and necessities such as cooking oil, soy sauce, peanuts ... for the poor and disadvantaged people across 25 provinces city. The total budget for implementing the program is nearly VND 1.4 billion.
Specifically, SeABank's donating program is divided into 2 phases from 8 - 10/4/2020 in Hanoi and 13 - 15/4/2020 in 25 cities and provinces. In both phases, SeABank presented 16,052 gifts including 42.7 tons of rice, 115,048 packs of instant noodles and necessary necessities such as cooking oil, soy sauce, peanuts ... with a total value of VND 1.4 billion. All food donations are provided by BRG Mart, Hapro supermarket system of BRG Group, BigC and other supermarkets to ensure the origin and quality of food hygiene and safety.
In particular, SeABank's second-handing program has received great support from many great partners such as: BRG Group, Central Retail in Vietnam, Ly Khuong Company, Tien Phuoc Company, Hung Hung Thinh Group, Post and Telecommunication Finance Company (PTF), and customers and partners of SeABank. Accordingly, the total budget recorded at the program amounted to VND 1.4 billion. It can be seen that the program is a beautiful and meaningful act that SeABank has partly spread the humanity and kindness to the community.
Uncle Son (Long Bien, Hanoi), a driver and delivery worker, now has to stay home from work because of "social distancing”, said that: "I could no longer work, my accumulated earnings were gone, life was really difficult. When I found out that SeABank had a point of handling necessities near my house, I went to receive it. A piece of hunger when a package when full, SeABank's gift made us warm, our family has more food to eat for a few days. This is a very meaningful program”.
Like Uncle Son, Mrs. Lien now has to stay home, showed her happiness when receiving SeABank's gift: “It is true that the disease is extremely dangerous. I am currently losing my job and have no income because of the pandemic, while the children all rely on the money I earn to eat every day, I do not know how to manage my own life. Fortunately, SeABank has organized a very practical activity. Like me, many people who received gifts about them were very happy. ”
In addition to distributing food directly at transaction points, SeABank also cooperates with People's Committees of wards where transaction points are given to distribute necessities to poor households in the ward.
From the North to the South, in any location, SeABank shows sympathy and devotion in community activities. At SeABank, social security activities are always focused on developing and receiving the enthusiastic response of all employees. SeABank always wants to contribute to the community and strive to develop for sustainability.
Previously, in response to the Government's call for donation, SeABank and BRG Group supported VND 5 billion for the prevention and control of Covid-19 and also supported VND 400 million to combat Covid-19 pandemic and severe drought in the Mekong Delta. SeABank's transaction points also strictly comply with regulations on sterilization, masks, hand-washing, etc. to prevent disease. Simultaneously, SeABank also issued many preferential programs for individual and corporate customers affected by Covid-19.
