HANOI - November 13, 2020, Ms. Le Thu Thuy - General Director of Southeast Asia Commercial Bank (SeABank) was once again honored by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council with the ASEAN Business Award 2020 (ABA 2020) with Category ASEAN Women Entrepreneur 2020.
In the framework of the ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) 2020 held in Hanoi, Vietnam on November 13, 2020, Ms. Le Thu Thuy - CEO of SeABank Bank was honored to be awarded the Women Entrepreneur 2020. The award is a recognition of Ms. Le Thu Thuy's achievements and contributions in the fields of human resource management, business development, and promoting research and innovation in SeABank's operations. as well as activities to promote community development and social security of the bank in recent years, especially in the context of the complicated Covid-19 epidemic in late 2019 and the first half of 2020. Before in 2017, General Director Le Thu Thuy was also honored to be one of 10 Vietnamese female entrepreneurs to be voted and awarded the "Typical ASEAN Female Entrepreneur" award organized by the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Network (AWEN).
The ABA 2020 award is annually organized by the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC) - Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, BRG Group and strategic partner Deloitte since 2017. The award ceremony is to honor honor businesses and individuals that have made outstanding contributions to ASEAN's economic growth and prosperity, in the prevention of the Covid-19 pandemic and in overcoming the negative impact of the epidemic on economic well-being - the society of ASEAN countries, thereby providing opportunities for businesses to assert their position, prestige, competitiveness and integration, as well as enhance their brand names in the entire ASEAN region and internationally. At the ABA Awards 2020, 58 of the best enterprises in ASEAN region were honored in 10 award categories including Outstanding Women Entrepreneur category.
Holding the position of CEO of SeABank Bank since 2018, Ms. Le Thu Thuy has been creating outstanding marks to help confirm SeABank's position and brand to the world, bringing the bank to digital transformation 4.0 and providing the most suitable products for customers. Only in 2020, General Director Le Thu Thuy is honored by many organizations, awarded Certificates of Merit and prestigious awards such as: Certificate of Merit “Excellent achievements in Covid - 19 pandemic prevention and control” (Vietnam General Confederation of Labor), Certificate of Merit “Excellent achievements, contributing to the completion of banking duties” (Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam) , Title “Entrepreneur of an image enjoying the ASEAN region" (ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs Conference), the title of "ASEAN Excellent Managers" (Vietnam - ASEAN Economic Cooperation Development Association) ...
In recent years, the bank's business results have been maintained and grown steadily. By the end of the first 9 months of 2020, SeABank basically completed well the planned targets with pre-tax profit of VND 1,131 billion, an increase of 65.6% compared to the same period in 2019. Other business indicators all increased as compared to the same period in 2019: Total assets were 167,426 billion VND, up 6.37%; Customer deposits reached more than 102,500 billion, up 7.12%; Loans to customers reached 97,871 billion dong. In addition, the ratio of bad debt to outstanding loans decreased to 2.23%, lower than the level prescribed by the State Bank of Vietnam.
