Hanoi, August 8, 2024, at the ceremony for the Vietnam Outstanding Banking Awards 2024 (VOBA) - Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank, stock code: SSB) was honored in the category of Outstanding Innovative Banking Product Service Award. This is a precious recognition for SeAMobile Biz - the tailored internet banking application for corporate banking customers. It is the 4th consecutive time SeABank has been honored in the award system.
Previously, the Vietnam Software and Information Technology Services Association (VINASA) also recognized SeAMobile Biz as an excellent product of the Vietnamese software and IT industry to receive Sao Khue Award 2024.
Vietnam Outstanding Banking Awards is a 13-year-old annual award, which is organized by the International Data Group (IDG) in collaboration with the Vietnam Banks Association (VNBA). The award is reputable among business community thanks to the quality of the award-winning products and services, which gained the trusts of industry experts and customers.
The results of VOBA are objectively and independently evaluated based on various strict criteria by experts from government agencies and associations in the finance - banking sector. The VOBA selection committee gave high scores for SeAMobile Biz - SeABank's digital banking application for businesses based on the following criteria: creativity, innovation, high applicability for business cost-saving, productivity boost, human resources optimization while ensuring operational efficiency, thereby increasing business efficiency for customers and for the Bank itself. Especially, the product has great potential to develop further in the future.
The SeAMobile Biz was launched by SeABank in 2022 with an aim to helping businesses conduct financial transactions proactively via internet-connected mobile devices anytime, anywhere without going to bank counter. Notably, corporate banking customers are completely exempted from service fees and money transfer fees when using SeAMobile Biz, thus enjoying a cost-saving and efficient experience. The application also acts as data source for businesses to quickly get updates on exchange rates and interest rates, enables convenient foreign currency trading and international money transfers.
Instead of receiving authentication codes via a separate Soft OTP, SeAMobile Biz has Soft OTP integrated on a single platform, thereby reducing transaction time and enhancing security.
After two years of launching, the number and value of transactions on SeAMobile Biz in 2023 have escalated significantly YoY, with growth rates of 168% in transaction number and 94% in transaction value. The portion of SeAMobile Biz transactions over total e-banking transactions at SeABank has continuously increased over the years. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the "Digital Convergence" strategy, which has been promoted to bring maximum values to both the customers and the Bank.
Prior to this, the SeAMobile Biz was also honored by VINASA as an excellent product of the Vietnamese software and IT industry to receive Sao Khue Award 2024. This is the driving force for SeABank to make strong breakthroughs, promote digitalization in both business operations and products and services in thé upcoming period, thus improving customer experience and moving closer to the goal of becoming the favorite retail bank in Vietnam.
