"Spring of Love" is an annual charity event organized in the early days of the year by Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank, stock code SSB). The event took place nationwide to support people in need in all areas where there are SeABank's transaction points. Nearly 1 ton of necessities and 1,600 gifts totalling over VND666 million have been distributed to ease the burden for children and the elderly at 5 hospitals, 8 schools, and 15 social support centers across the country.
In the beginning of every new year, SeABank organizes "Spring of Love" with an aim to bring the warmth of spring to those in need while spreading love and compassion. Promoting the Bank’s core value "For the Community", "Spring of Love 2024” themed "Linking Loves" has come to 5 hospitals, 8 schools, and 15 social support centers nationwide. This is one of the meaningful events to start the celebration series of SeABank's 30th anniversary (1994 - 2024).
In more than 1 month, SeABank's employees at all branches/transaction offices have handed out nearly 1 ton of necessities and 1,600 gifts valued over VND666 million to orphans, older adults living alone, the disabled, and patients suffering from serious illnesses, etc. These small gifts represent the care and love of SeABank's employees, contributing to sharing and encouraging the vulnerables to enjoy a happier and cosier Tet holiday.
Notable activities carried out by SeABank in the program include but not limited to: donating 300 kg of neccessities to dozens of poor households in Vinh Phuc; visiting 120 older adults living alone at Lam Quang Pagoda (Ho Chi Minh City); giving gifts to nearly 200 children and 12 elderly at Thien Binh Orphanage (Dong Nai); distributing over 150 gifts and scholarships to students overcoming difficulties to study in Binh Duong province, etc.
Additionally, SeABank also gave dozens of gifts to patients of the Hematology and Oncology Departments of the Thai Nguyen Central Hospital. Mr. Ha Tien Quang (Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Director of Thai Nguyen Central Hospital) shared: "I appreciate the compassion that SeABank has shown to our patients. I believe the bank's care would motivate the patients to fight against illnesses".
It can be said that in its 30 years of formation and development, SeABank has specifically prioritized community services through several practical activities, focusing on social welfare activities as a commitment to sustainable development with billions of VND each year spent. "Spring of Love - Linking Love" is one of the meaningful events to start the celebration series of SeABank's 30th anniversary. With "For the Community" as one of its core values, in 2024, SeABank will continue to carry out various meaningful and practical activities to contribute to a more prosperous and happier society.
