The program Let's Go Green with SeABank - Ocean Cleanup has been launched by SeABank since June 2024 for the purpose of collecting trash and cleaning up beaches. Responding to this, on August 3, 2024, nearly 300 employees of Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank, stock code: SSB) and local volunteers have joined in the beach cleanup and promotion of marine protection in Da Nang city.
Accordingly, employees of SeABank Da Nang branch, Son Tra Peninsula and Danang Tourism Beaches Management Board, together with Green Building Vietnam, disadvantaged group of Green Integration (Hoa Nhap Xanh), and Da Nang University of Economics (DUE) have jointly collected litters at Tho Quang beach - Son Tra - Da Nang city. The program attracted the participation of nearly 300 employees and youth union members from SeABank Da Nang - Le Duan branches; students from DUE’s Faculty of Accounting; and volunteers from Green Building Vietnam, Green Integration, etc.
SeABank Da Nang branch has donated 20 public trash bins to the Son Tra Peninsula and Danang Tourism Beaches Management Board. This is aimed at propagating and raising public awareness of the harmful effects of plastic waste, spreading green lifestyles, connecting local management agencies and businesses to jointly protect the environment and marine ecosystems, thereby building Da Nang into a Green - Clean - Beautiful city.
The program Let's Go Green with SeABank - Ocean Cleanup was launched by SeABank for the purpose of collecting waste and cleaning up beaches, finding suitable waste treatment solutions and installing more public trash bins at beaches to encourage proper trash disposal.
Previously, in response to Vietnam Sea and Islands Week and World Oceans Day, the program Let's Go Green with SeABank - Ocean Cleanup was carried out in 11 coastal provinces and cities nationwide on June 8, participated by more than 1,000 SeABank employees and local volunteers. Such activities under the Bank's Let's Go Green with SeABank - Ocean Cleanup program are continuously organized, thereby keeping clean beaches and protecting the ocean, acting towards sustainable development and creating community values in line with one of SeABank’s 5 core values - “Community-oriented”.
