SeABank hosts ‘Waste for Gifts’ eco-exchange day to promote green lifestyle in Hanoi
To promote a green lifestyle and raise public awareness about waste sorting, Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank, HOSE: SSB) has partnered with Hanoi Urban Environment Company Limited (URENCO) to launch the recurring “Waste for Gifts” eco-exchange program at its main office located at 25 Tran Hung Dao Street, Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi. This is a part of “Let’s Go Green with SeABank” – an annual environmental campaign featuring a range of practical activities such as tree planting, environmental clean-up, beach clean-up, eco-friendly gifts giveaway, waste recycling, and more.

On 12/01/2012, Vietnam Association for Information Processing (VAIP) announced that Southest Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank - SeABank – was among 5 Vietnamese banks leanding in IT application - ICT Index 2011. SeABank is also the only commercial joint stock bank included in this list.
ICT Index 2011 is a prestigious rating list announced by VAIP with strict evaluation criteria regarding IT infrastructure, IT HR infrastructure, IT application indexes, IT organization environment, policy, availability of IT application and development. Ranked in the 4th position in Top 5 of ICT Index 2011, SeABank has high ratios of computer number/staff, network (WAN, Internet) connected computer, ATM number/branch, WAN connected branches. SeABank is also included in Top Branches with 100% of branches, outlets successfully applying Core Banking T24 Temenos which is the most current modern technology, along with about 600 big financial and banking institutions in more than 110 countries worldwide. SeABank is one of few Vietnamese pioneering banks which have succeeded in implementing T24 Temenos for a short period, the bank has gained significant changes in IT infrastructure, management and operation modes. This shows great efforts of SeABank’s Management Board to increasingly finalize IT solutions towards the orientation of a prominent retail bank in Vietnam.
In the period of high investments in IT system towards the retail banking goal, on 16/01/2012, SeABank officially launched and put automatic banking service – AutoBank – into operation. The inauguration ceremonies were organized simultaneously at AutoBank Le Thai To (Hanoi) and AutoBank Le Lai (HCMC). Along with the launch of AutoBank for the first time in Vietnam with full functions of deposit, withdrawal, conversion of foreign currency into VND, information inquiries through automatic machines, phone call to Call Center for 24/7 and online transactions with the bank, SeABank continues confirming its great strategic progresses in IT sector in particular and in the bank’s operations in general.
