SeABank collaborates with Hanoi City Police to promote students’ awareness of digital financial safety
Hanoi, June 3, 2026 – SeABank (HOSE: SSB), in collaboration with the Economic Security Division of the Hanoi City Police, organized the seminar "Preventing cyber fraud in the banking system" at Phenikaa University. The program aimed to equip students, faculty, staff, and employees of the university with the knowledge and skills needed to identify and prevent online fraud, thereby raising awareness of digital financial safety.

On the occasion of the Citizen Commitment Week 2012 initiated by Société Générale Group – the strategic partner of SeABank and along with “The Action Month for Vietnamese Children”, from June 1st to 9th, 2012, the Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank) has raised funds and visited underprivileged children nation-wide. After one calling week, the program has received up to VND 145 million contributed by the Bank’s staff across the country together with so much gifts of clothes, books, milk, sugar and necessities for the children.
Between the 8th and 9th June, the Bank’s managers and employees all came long way to directly visit and give gifts to orphaned and disabled children in 6 charity units located in Hanoi, Hai Duong, Da Nang, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Vung Tau. In Hanoi, SeABank’s staff visited and gifted more than 300 orphaned, disabled chilren and homeless old people at the Thuy An Disabled Children and Old People Nuture Center at Ba Vi.
SeABank in Hai Duong brought a lots of blankets, mosquito-nets, clothes and books to the children staying at the Hai Duong Social Sponsor Center – where provides accomodation, education and vocational training for over 600 disabled, dioxin infected and orphaned children at the locality. Staff in SeABank Da Nang paid visit to two places, the Hoa Mai Orphans Nurture Center and the Da Nang city Association for the Support of Vietnamese Handicapped and Orphans, with various gifts of new clothes, books and one children’s playing slide. The management board and SeABank staff in the South also gave gifts and money to orphaned and disadvantaged children at Dieu Phap Pagoda (Dong Nai), Kieu Dam Pagoda (Vung Tau city) and Bo De Dao Trang Orphanage (Binh Duong).
This is the third year that SeABank has organized such activities for the Citizen Commitment Week launched by Société Générale – its strategic partner – in order to raise awareness and responsibility of the staff towards the neighbouring community and environment. It is known that in 2010 and 2011, SeABank also had many meaningful activities towards the community such as raising funds for orphans at Bo De Pagoda –Hanoi, Bonsai Fair, organizing“Golden hours for refereshing office”, visiting cancer -acquired children at K Hospital, Tam Diep, Hanoi, organizing the “Green Day” which mobilized its staff to do cleaning around Hoan Kiem Lake and Ha Long Bay. These activities not only raise team–building, humanity sharing, environmental awareness of SeABank staff but also show the image of SeABank as a dynamic, friendly and responsible bank.
About the Citizen Commitment Week Citizen Commitment Week (CCW) is an annual event initiated by Société Générale towards all of its employees as well as partners globally since 2008. CCW is to improve the awareness of social and charity activities, and to welcome all initiatives of fund-raising or voluntary actions, building up and encouraging the solidarity and community responsibilities among SG employees in all countries worldwide. |
