Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank), with stock code SSB, proudly announces the nationwide launch of its annual charity program, "SeABankers for Children 2023." The initiative aims to bring tangible gifts and spread love to underprivileged and impoverished children in remote regions across the country. This annual charity program has been a consistent endeavor by SeABank since 2016, with the goal of supporting disadvantaged children nationwide. To date, SeABank has contributed over 5 billion VND to this noble cause.
Continue our mission to spread love, SeABank proudly organizes the annual philanthropic event “SeABanker for Children 2023”. This initiative is aimed at underprivileged and impoverished children, particularly those in remote and disadvantaged regions across the entire nation. The program encompasses a multitude of meaningful activities, including: Awarding scholarships to deserving, academically accomplished, underprivileged students; Providing essential supplies, clothing, infrastructure, and essential goods to schools and social welfare centers; Establishing libraries and reading rooms for young children.
Carrying the message of “Connecting Dreams”, thousands of SeABank employees across 31 provinces and cities nationwide have expressed SeABank’s “For the Community” values through numerous practical actions, bringing joy to young children during the children’s action month. In just two months since its inception, the program has distributed over 2000 gifts to underprivileged students who have shown remarkable determination and archived outstanding academic results in 2022-2023 school year. These gifts, including textbooks and education materials, have been meticulously, prepared by SeABanker. Alongside practical gifts, SeABankers from branches in Hanoi, Kien Giang, Thanh Hoa, the Head Office and the SeABank Representative Office in Ho Chi Minh City, … among others, have further bolstered the motivation of young learners on their quest for knowledge and nurturing dreams. This was accomplished by granting more than 50 scholarships. With the desire to extend their loving embrace and the connect the dreams that will soar into the boundless future, SeABankers from across provinces and cities enthusiastically particulate in the charitable activities of “SeABankers for Children”.
Yearning to witness the daily smiles of these “little angels”, SeABankers from branch in Tan Binh have collaborated with the Social Affairs Office of Children’s Hospital I in Ho Chi Minh City, alongside benevolent individuals, to organize a program that delivered over 1300 gifts to young patients undergoing treatment. These gifts serve as a source of inspiration for both the children and their parents. Furthermore, over 100 SeABank employees volunteered to participate in humanitarian blood donation. Among them, 89 volunteers successfully donated 82 units of 350ml whole blood and 7 units of 450ml whole blood.
In Da Nang, SeABank employees visited 115 young children under care at the Village of Hope in Thanh Khe district, Da Nang City. Due to the challenging pandemic situation, support from generous individuals and non-govermental organizations has been limited. To sustain the center’s activities, the Board of Directors, along with all teachers and caregivers at the Village, have made tremendous efforts to ensure the well-being of the children and to maintain the center's continuous operation. The compassion and generousity extended by SeABanker in Da Nang have not only enriched the meals of these children but have also made them more abundant and fulfilling.
Moreover, SeABankers from the Head Office extended their love students at the Ban Bo Lieu Primary and Kindergarten School in Tan Hop commune, Moc Chau district, Son La province. This noble effort included the iron roof for the Bo Lieu Kindergarten. In addition to this infrastructure support, SeABank also generously donated water purification and pumping equipment, fans, blankets, toothbrushes, curtains, milk, and other essential supplies. These contributions aim to ensure the students and teachers in this highland school have good health and are well-prepared for their noble teaching duties. Futhermore, SeABank employees also awarded 10 scholarship to outstanding students of the school.
Proactively engaging in community activities, especially those involving children SeABank has undertaken a series of impactful initiatives in recent years. These endeavors aim to alleviate the hardships faced by less fortunate young individuals and foster happiness and optimism in their lives. In addition to the annual "SeABankers for Children" program, which directly supports children, SeABank established the "Sapling of Dreams Scholarship Fund" in 2015. Through this philanthropic initiative, the bank has provided financial aid to 191 academically talented yet underprivileged students, offering a substantial scholarship amount of 12 million VND per student annually until their completion of high school.
SeABank Pickleball Championship 2026: 416 athletes compete, raising nearly VND 620 million for education and environmental initiatives
Following two days of exciting competition, the SeABank Pickleball Championship 2026, organized by Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank, HOSE: SSB), concluded successfully with the participation of 416 athletes, attracting a large number of spectators and sports enthusiasts. Notably, the entire amount raised from the tournament, including contributions from SeABank employees, athletes, and sponsors totaling VND 620 million, has been donated to the SeADreams Scholarship Fund and the SeAGreen Fund. These contributions will support underprivileged students and fund environmental protection initiatives, reinforcing SeABank’s commitment to social responsibility and sustainable development.
