SeABank honored with “Top Ten Vietnamese brands in Science and Technology Application” Gold Cup

Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank – SeABank is honorably presented “Top Ten Vietnamese brands in Science and Technology Application” Gold Cup the second time in 2014 jointly by Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, Minitry of Natural Resources and Environment, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Center for Vietnamese brand research and development.

“Top Ten Vietnamese brands in Science and Technology Application” Gold Cup is to encourage and honor enterprises which proactively apply science and technology in production, business to enhance competitiveness, product & service quality and build up and develop brand name sustainably contributing to the national socio-economic development. The award promotes the role of science and technology in international economic integration context, motivates enterprises to actively involve in science and technology application in order to create useful outcomes.

SeABank is a pioneer in banking technology application and is ranked one of 5 leading banks in Vietnam in IT application by ICT Index. Currently, SeABank is deploying the core banking system T24 – Temenos with the lastest R10 version and investing heavily in IT infrastructure in order to provide best services to customers. Besides, the Bank has operated its Datacenter according to international standards TIE III at its Head Office along with Cisco Nexus 7000 Series Switches, Server IBM P595 system and HP XP 2400 Storage system, all contributing to ensure the support of IT for the Bank’s safe and stable operations. SeABank is also the first bank in Vietnam to virtualize its server system with Blade server infrastructure.

Thanks to its systematic investment, the application of science and technology in SeABank has been recognized by professional organizations with various awards such as: Best Cloud-based Project 2013 by The Asian Banker; ASEAN CIO|CSO 2013 Awards byIDG; ISO/IEC 27001:2013 Certificate on IT Management in banking operation.
