A newly built concrete road leading to Suoi Cuoc School (Muong Coi Commune, Son La Province), more than 400 nutritious meals for students in the mountainous provinces of Lao Cai and Son La, and a range of other community initiatives are among the highlights of "SeABankers for Children 2026." Themed "A Summer of Care," the annual volunteer program of SeABank (HOSE: SSB) is being implemented across 12 provinces and cities nationwide. From Son La and Lao Cai to many other localities, the program provides meaningful support for children's education, daily needs, and well-being throughout the summer.
Addressing real community needs
The road leading to Suoi Cuoc School, in the early summer days, still reflects the hardships of life in the mountainous region. Previously, whenever it rained, the dirt road to the school turned muddy and slippery, making travel difficult for both students and teachers. For years, the school and local families had hoped for a safer, more durable road.
Responding to this need, SeABank employees from Hanoi Region 2 joined hands with local residents to complete the 120-meter-long SeABank "Road to School" project. While modest in scale, the new concrete road has made it safer and easier for children to travel to school, particularly during the rainy season.

While Suoi Cuoc needed a safer road to school, the priority at Ta Phoi 2 Primary and Lower Secondary School and Xeo Ta 2 Kindergarten (Hop Thanh Commune, Lao Cai Province) was to improve learning and living conditions for boarding students.
Those schools are located in an area with a large Dao ethnic minority population. Many students live in remote mountainous areas, several kilometers from the schools, requiring them to stay in boarding facilities during the week. However, access to clean water, educational resources, and safe recreational spaces remains limited.
There, SeABank employees donated 30 scholarships, 2 RO water purification systems, a playground equipped with physical development facilities, hundreds of sets of school supplies for boarding students, and financial assistance for a student battling a serious illness.
In addition to providing practical support, SeABank employees joined the students in a variety of interactive activities, including making seesaws from recycled materials, planting commemorative trees, and gathering for a campfire evening.

According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Dan, Principal of Ta Phoi 2 Primary and Lower Secondary School, these initiatives were designed to address the school's actual needs, helping improve both learning and living conditions for its students.
“The presence of SeABank employees, with their enthusiasm, warmth, and genuine care, has brought a sense of encouragement to our teachers, students, and parents, inspiring the children to move forward with confidence on their educational journey,” Mr. Dan shared.
Beyond material support
A key feature of the "SeABankers for Children 2026" program was the "Cooking for Children" activity, organized in both Son La and Lao Cai.
As part of this, SeABank employees prepared more than 400 meals for students at the mentioned schools. SeABank volunteers in their signature red shirts took part in every step, from washing and preparing ingredients to cooking and serving meals. The activity created opportunities for volunteers to spend quality time with the children, learn about their daily lives and educational experiences. For many of the students, it was a memorable experience that went beyond receiving material support.

In addition to Son La and Lao Cai, "SeABankers for Children" was also carried out in Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Quang Ninh, Phu Tho, Nghe An, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City, Ca Mau, and Can Tho. Key activities include awarding scholarships; donating bicycles, backpacks, books, clothing, milk, and other essential supplies; providing financial assistance to children undergoing treatment for serious illnesses; and improving educational and living facilities for children at shelters, social protection centers, and hospitals.
2026 marks the 11th consecutive year that SeABank has organized the "SeABankers for Children" program, implementing hundreds of community initiatives nationwide that are tailored to the specific needs of each locality. From roads to schools, clean water systems, playgrounds to nutritious boarding-school meals, each initiative helps improve children's learning and living conditions while creating greater opportunities for disadvantaged children to thrive.

The lasting impact of "SeABankers for Children" was recognized when the program was named among the Top 3 Outstanding Charity Programs at The Banker 2025 Awards. Guided by its commitment to combining sustainable business growth with meaningful community value, SeABank will continue to expand its CSR initiatives, foster a spirit of sharing and support the development of future generations, thereby further reinforcing its position as a sustainable bank for the community.
